A Note from the Division Chief

As 2024 draws to a close, the Division of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine at UPMC Children’s is pleased to share a look back at some of the significant clinical and research achievements of our faculty and staff over the past year.

Throughout 2024, our division has continued to grow, both in delivering comprehensive clinical care and in advancing innovative research that addresses ongoing and emerging challenges in pediatric pulmonary medicine. We are proud of our past work but remain dedicated to pushing the boundaries of scientific discovery and creating the best possible care for our patients and families.

One of the best children's hospitals, ranked in pulmonology by U.S. News and World Report.One of the best children's hospitals, ranked by U.S. News and World Report.Once again, our hospital has been nationally ranked in all 11 specialties, and our division has been recognized among the nation’s top programs in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine by U.S. News & World Report in their “Best Children’s Hospitals” rankings, coming in this year in the #8 position. Our ranking reflects our unwavering and decades-long commitment to excellence in both clinical care and research.

 

UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Receives Newsweek Rankings 

UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh has received multiple national ranking recognitions from Newsweek in their "America's Best Children's Hospitals 2024", and our Division was ranked #5. The list was compiled from four data sources: a nationwide online survey of health care professionals working in pediatrics, hospital quality metrics, patient experience surveys and whether the facilities have implemented Patient-Reported Outcome Measures, or PROMs, to optimize care.
