    Stephanie A. Studenksi, MD, MPH, is the Principal Investigator of the Pittsburgh Claude Pepper Center and the Pittsburgh Training Program in Geriatrics and Gerontology, and is Co-principle Investigator of the Pittsburgh site of the LIFE study. She has received continuous research funding from the NIH, VA, foundations and industry for the last 25 years. Before coming to the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Studenski served as the Chief of Rehabilitation Medicine Services at the Durham VA Hospital and then became the Director of the Center on Aging at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She has served as chair of three NIH study sections and as chair of the Research Committee of the American Geriatrics Society. She is Associate Editor for the Journal of Gerontology Medical Sciences and the Hazzard Textbook of Geriatrics and Gerontology. Dr. Studenski has been included in the Best Doctors in America since 1998.
