Dr. David N. Hager is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His areas of expertise include pulmonary and critical care medicine. Dr. Hager serves as the Associate Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit and the Director of the Medical Progressive Care Unit (an intermediate care unit) at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Dr. Hager earned his M.D. at Cornell University Medical College and his Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.  He completed his residency in medicine and fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

His research interests include acute lung injury, high frequency ventilation, acute patient triage, intermediate care, and sepsis.
