Profile:

A.J. Conrad Smith, MD, is an interventional cardiologist and is certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco and completed his internal medicine residency, cardiology fellowship, and interventional cardiology fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Smith’s clinical interests include interventional cardiology, complex coronary intervention, transcatheter mitral and tricuspid valve therapies, and catheter-based treatments for adult congenital heart disease. In addition, Dr. Smith has actively sought to battle health disparities through his active involvement in the Association of Black Cardiologists and through grassroots work in underserved communities around Pittsburgh.
