Six UPMC Hospitals Recognized as Best Hospitals for Maternity Care (Uncomplicated Pregnancy) by U.S. News & World Report

U.S. News & World Report released its 2025 “Best Hospitals for Maternity Care (Uncomplicated Pregnancy)” ratings. Six UPMC hospitals were recognized as High Performing in Maternity Care: UPMC Altoona, UPMC Carlisle, UPMC Hanover, UPMC Harrisburg, UPMC Memorial, and UPMC Williamsport.  

Additionally, UPMC Williamsport, UPMC Wellsboro, UPMC Northwest, UPMC Cole, and UPMC Carlisle were also designated as Maternity Care Access Hospitals, recognized for providing access to quality care for expectant parents – serving communities that would otherwise be considered maternity care deserts.

These hospitals are all part of the UPMC Magee-Womens network, ensuring that patients can receive comprehensive Magee-Womens Specialty Services across regions of Western and Central Pennsylvania.
