UPMC Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery Participating in AES 2024

The UPMC Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery will have a prominent presence at the 2024 Annual Meeting of the American Epilepsy Society (AES), taking place from December 6 to 10 in Los Angeles, California.
Esteemed faculty contributing to the program include Taylor Abel, MD, chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh; Jorge González-Martínez, MD, director of the Epilepsy/Movement Disorders Surgery Division and Stuart Niles Rowe Chair in Neurosurgery at the University of Pittsburgh; Page Pennell, MD, chair of the Department of Neurology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Henry B. Higman Professor of Neurology; and Alexandra Urban, MD, vice chair of Clinical Affairs and director of the Epilepsy Fellowship in the Department of Neurology.
These experts, along with additional faculty members, will lead and participate in educational sessions, showcasing their expertise and advancing the field of epilepsy care and research.
