With the opening of UPMC’s new cardiac surgery and structural heart clinic at UPMC Memorial, patients can now receive expert cardiac care closer to home.
As one of the largest and most experienced cardiovascular programs in the region, our team at the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute is home to experts in all areas of cardiovascular care, including cardiac surgery and structural heart experts. Our program has achieved the highest possible rating of three stars by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) in three out of five total categories for patient care and outcomes, placing the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute in central Pa. among the elite for adult cardiac surgery in the United States and Canada. The UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute in central Pa. has maintained a 3-star STS rating in various categories for the last decade.
