Vishal Jhanji, MD, Delivers Presidential Lecture at All India Ophthalmological Society Meeting

Vishal Jhanji, MD, FRCS(Glasgow), FRCOphth, FARVO, professor of ophthalmology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and a cornea specialist at the UPMC Vision Institute, presented the Presidential Guest Lecture on Advancements in Management of Keratoconus at the All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS) Meeting in Kochi, India on May 11, 2023. Founded in 1930, the AIOS aims to cultivate and promote the study and practice of ophthalmic sciences, research, and manpower development with a view to rendering services to the community and to promote social contacts among ophthalmologists across India.

Dr. Jhanji completed his ophthalmology training from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India and his fellowship from the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, University of Melbourne, Australia. He worked as an associate professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the Chinese University of Hong Kong prior to joining the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 2017. Dr. Jhanji leads the Cornea Services and serves as the Vice Chair of quality for the UPMC Vision Institute. He is also the co-director of Clinical Trials Division, and co-director of the Funderburgh Cornea Restoration Project.
