UPMC Children’s Pediatric Nephrology Program Presenting at National Kidney Foundation SCM 2024 Meetings

The National Kidney Foundation Spring Clinical Meetings for 2024 will be held in Long Beach, California May 14-18, 2024, and the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Division of Pediatric Nephrology and colleagues will be there to present during the Kidney Team in Action Sessions on Wednesday, May 15 from 4:15-5:15 PM PT.

Presenting their work at the conference are:

• Jessica Orris, PhD, Transplant Psychologist
• Jessica Smith, Child Life Specialist, Transplant/Intestinal Care

The team is presenting their work titled, “Pediatric Psychosocial Rounds: Providing Holistic Care to Patients and Families.”

The team will discuss the development and implementation of their psychosocial rounds program for pediatric kidney transplant patients, how the program functions, and its impact on clinical care and quality outcomes.
