The Division of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is excited to be attending the 2025 American Thoracic Society International Conference (ATS 2025), May 16-21 in San Francisco.

Some highlights from our division at this year’s conference include:
Division chief Juan C. Celedón, MD, DrPH, ATSF, will deliver the 2025 Amberson Lecture.
John Alcorn, PhD, is an invited speaker for the session “20 Years of Supporting Lung Research: The Parker B. Francis Fellowship.” Dr. Alcorn’s lecture is titled “Impact of the PBF Fellowship.”
Geoffrey Kurland, MD, is a faculty member for the “Fellows Track Symposium: Pediatric Airway Clearance and Inhaler Techniques.”
Levent Midyat, MD, is a faculty member for the Resident Boot Camp session and will give a lecture titled “Hands On: Chronic Ventilator Management.”
Franziska Rosser, MD, MPH, will co-chair the session “Hot Topics in Childhood Asthma: Risk Factors, Management, and Remission.”
Daniel Weiner, MD, is a moderator for the poster session on “Pulmonary Function Testing, Imaging, and Diagnostic Tools for Pediatric Pulmonary Diseases.”
