UPMC Children’s Division of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine at ATS 2025

The Division of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is excited to be attending the 2025 American Thoracic Society International Conference (ATS 2025), May 16-21 in San Francisco.

Our division faculty and trainees are giving numerous lectures, presentations, and research abstracts at this year’s conference. View and download the complete list of activities with dates, times, and locations to plan your schedule.

Some highlights from our division at this year’s conference include:

  • John Alcorn, PhD, is an invited speaker for the session “20 Years of Supporting Lung Research: The Parker B. Francis Fellowship.” Dr. Alcorn’s lecture is titled “Impact of the PBF Fellowship.”

  • Geoffrey Kurland, MD, is a faculty member for the “Fellows Track Symposium: Pediatric Airway Clearance and Inhaler Techniques.”

  • Levent Midyat, MD, is a faculty member for the Resident Boot Camp session and will give a lecture titled “Hands On: Chronic Ventilator Management.”

  • Franziska Rosser, MD, MPH, will co-chair the session “Hot Topics in Childhood Asthma: Risk Factors, Management, and Remission.”

  • Daniel Weiner, MD, is a moderator for the poster session on “Pulmonary Function Testing, Imaging, and Diagnostic Tools for Pediatric Pulmonary Diseases.”
