The Heart Institute at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh hosted the Fourth Annual Da Silva Center for Ebstein’s Anomaly Symposium in Feb. 2024. This year’s symposium brought together world-renowned pediatric and adult cardiologists and cardiac surgeons to discuss treatment and management of Ebstein’s anomaly, a rare, congenital heart defect.
In 1993, José Pedro da Silva, MD, created the Cone procedure for Ebstein’s anomaly repair. Now, more than 30 years later, it has become the gold standard for treatment of this congenital heart defect. Throughout this educational event, Dr. da Silva, alongside Luciana da Fonseca da Silva, MD, and other experts, presented comprehensive lectures on Ebstein’s anomaly, the utilization of advanced diagnostic imaging, the review of surgical technique, a new approach to procedural care, and post-surgical management.
Below are the presentations from the Fourth Annual Da Silva Center for Ebstein’s Anomaly Symposium.
