The 2023 UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute Lifetime Management of the Aorta brought together experts in pediatric and adult cardiology and cardiac surgery, adult congenital heart disease, genetics, cardiovascular imaging, vascular surgery and subspecialists in orthopedics and ophthalmology to explore current gold standard management techniques, strategies for overcoming complex medical management issues, technical pearls for challenging surgical interventions, and the importance of the provision of support resources for treatment of the aortic patient across the lifespan. Importantly, this course explored the critical programmatic elements needed to facilitate truly integrated and comprehensive aortic care.
