UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital Welcomes New Women’s Health Service Line Leader

Annmarie Lyons, MHS, will be joining the Women’s Health and UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital leadership team as vice president, Women’s Health Service Line, and executive administrator in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences.

In this role, Annmarie will assume the service line leader responsibilities that Maribeth McLaughlin held prior to her promotion to Chief Nurse Executive. Additionally, she will assume many of the executive administrator responsibilities currently held by Jeff Knorr, who will be transitioning out of women’s health following his promotion to vice president, Anesthesia Services, and executive administrator over Anesthesia and Otolaryngology.

Annmarie comes to the Women’s Health team most recently from the UPMC Departments of Anesthesiology and Otolaryngology, where she has served as executive administrator and has excelled in the role. Prior to her tenure there, she served as an executive administrator within the Department of Medicine and a member of UPMC East's executive team.

The Women’s Health Service Line, including Annmarie, will also continue the close partnership with the neonatal leadership team, under the direction of Terence Dermody, MD, and his team in ensuring seamless care for tiniest patients across UPMC. Annmarie will be a key part of the UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital executive management team and the Women’s Health Service Line in partnership with Robert Edwards, MD, and Richard Beigi, MD, MSc, working closely with leaders in women’s health across UPMC as well as across the hospital to continue the great progress that was achieved under Maribeth and Jeff’s combined leadership.
