Intent and Objectives

This optional half-day course, part of the 2018 Obstetrical Neurology Conference, will focus on how to create a Division of Women’s Neurology at one’s own institution. Presentations will be made by women’s neurology division chiefs from Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and the University of Kentucky. Discussions will include inpatient and outpatient care, recruitment of faculty, creating a budget neutral business plan, and establishing a fellowship program. The workshop will provide coaching sessions for all participants.

 

Who Should Attend

This program is designed for neurologists who have an interest in women’s neurology and who wish to establish a division in this subspecialty.

 

Continuing Education Credit

The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

 

This activity has been approved for 3 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
